Taking Caulk Out of Your Shower Floor
A bathroom area (and particularly, the shower) is subjected to heavy moisture conditions. This necessitates the regular cleaning & maintenance of the equipments & the room itself. Allowing the moisture to settle down will form a fancy platform for various kinds of molds and mildews to grow upon. This growth will not only clog your floor but might also lead to accidents, which need to be avoided especially if you have small children or old people using the bathroom.
To remove the caulk, place wet pieces of rags over it for at least two days. Check if the caulk has gone soft, if it has not; repeat the procedure using alcohol solution instead of water. Once the caulk has gone soft, clean it once again using a wet cloth. Use a utility knife to slide beneath the caulk & remove it. You can use a mildew remover to kill any present growth.
