Keep Maine Beautiful Rock

One of the most recognized rocks in all Maine is the sprayed painted “Keep Maine Beautiful” rock that is a couple miles before the southern Baxter State Park entrance.

The rock has a painting of a bear in front of a river getting ready to take a drink.

Standing at about 12 feet tall, many people take pictures in front of the rock or on top of it. The rock has been redone because of ware.

The spot that the rock is located at is also has a great view of Mt. Katahdin, but that is easy to find when you’re in the area.
