Penobscot River
Thursday, August 14th, 2008The Penobscot river is the second longest river in all of Maine. The river stretches over 350 miles in the great state.
The word “Penobscot” comes from a mispronunciation of the name of the Indian tribe “Penawapskewi”. Maine has very heavy ties to their Indian ancestors.
